Macro Monday - 1-4-10

I took this shot of a flower in my garden this past summer. Can you guess what it is???
Doesn't it look like the little curled up pieces are leather???
(hint: its a reather simple flower that bugs do not like)

Wonderful close up view of this yellow flower .. it looks ready to bloom but I have no clue what it is.
Hugs and blessings,

Nice shot. I was going to say sunflower but can't tell without a scale clue.

Well its a basic Marigold that is ready to bloom. I think it was a double variety.

I was just so blown away at how interesting it looked as it opened up!
