I dont know the actual botanical name, but its part of the morning glories my mom planted that just come up on their own now. This was just before it opened, or just when it closed for the day, I cant remember which. I thought it was just breath taking with the sun coming through the side of it. Thanks! Pam
Very beautiful photos! As far as I know, the Morning Glories is a very large family of flowers but the one you photographed looks like an "ipomoea purpurea" but I may be wrong. Have a wonderful new week!
Lovely shots of morning glory! have a great day! Gena @ thinking Aloud south Africa PS. just a comment on the falling snow, it makes slower connections very slow....

Muge,
Thanks for the kind thoughts and the facts!
I just know they come up on their own now, self seed and also use my sweet peas to climb. I love that about them.

These are beautiful! My dad always grew morning glories on the front porch so this brings back lots of memories for me. :)
Amazing and beautiful! I love how tightly buds are folded!
Thanks for the wonderful comments you guys.
Yes morning glories do bring back memories of my mom as well. She loved those and Zinnias. Then came sunflowers and such.
(I will take down the snow soon as winter is over...sorry about the slow connection)
What gorgeous views of this bud about to open ... just glorious to view ... love the sun and shadows too.
Hugs and blessings,
These are beautiful. The flower seems to be reaching. I think the first is the best.
Beautiful morning glories and great macros. I especially like the first shot.
